The Best Known For
Playbook
The map you need that is as good as you are. Stop being your industry's best-kept secret — this is your custom strategy to turn deep expertise into recognised authority.
Phase One
The Foundation
Before anything else, we get clear on the one thing that everything else must serve. Your goal. Your audience. The line between community and ideal client.
Every action has to serve the goal.
Write it here once. Come back to it every session. If an activity doesn't serve this, it doesn't belong in the plan.
Target Profile: [Super-niche description — who specifically this is for]
Community vs. Super-Niche
Your community supports you. Your super-niche pays you. You need both, but you create for one.
THE SUPER-NICHE
Community:
[Broad audience interested in your space]
Super-Niche:
[The specific person who will buy — define the internal struggle, not just demographics]
How to Open
The Exercise
Go into their LinkedIn. Look at who has liked or commented on their last 10 posts. Sort them into two buckets: potential clients vs community supporters. Do this together — they will see the pattern themselves.
Unlocking Questions
- "Who would you most want to see in your DMs tomorrow?"
- "External circumstances may vary — but what is the internal struggle they all share?"
- "You know your client better than I do — does this feel right?"
Watch For
The moment they name their ideal client's internal struggle — often they realise it mirrors something in themselves. That's your signal. Don't rush past it.
Phase Two
Base Camp
The Digital Shop Window. Your LinkedIn profile isn't a CV — it's a landing page. It must attract your super-niche and repel everyone else.
The Anatomy of a High-Converting Profile
[Your credentials and what makes you the guide]...
[Clear CTA — what should they do next?]
Duties. Past Roles. HR Keywords. Passive History.
Impact. Storytelling. Transformation. Future Potential.
The Frame
The Filter Concept
Explain that a great profile repels as well as attracts. If it's trying to speak to everyone, it speaks to no one. The goal is to make the right person feel seen — and everyone else move on.
Quick Audit Together
- Open their current LinkedIn — does the headline say what outcome they create?
- Read the About section. Does it start with empathy or with credentials?
- Is there a clear CTA?
Unlocking Question
Phase Three
The Story
StoryBrand applied. This is where everything shifts — from self-promotion to service. Your client is the hero. You are the guide. Your offer ladder is the path.
Your client is the hero. You are the guide.
The Hero
Your client. Has a problem. Wakes up with it.
The Problem
External, Internal & Psychological.
Meets The Guide
You. Empathy + Authority.
The Plan
Your clear method. The offer ladder.
Transformation
From stuck to their best self.
What they tell people.
[e.g. I need more clients / I need a better LinkedIn presence]
What keeps them awake.
[e.g. I feel invisible despite my expertise / I don't know how to talk about my work]
The deepest belief.
[e.g. I'm afraid my expertise isn't valued / I don't trust my own voice]
The path from awareness to transformation
Every rung on the ladder is a step closer. Content creates awareness. The ladder moves them forward.
Free Value
[e.g. LinkedIn content, newsletter, free resource]
Low Commitment Entry
[e.g. Discovery call, workshop, audit]
Core Offer
[e.g. Programme, retainer, 1:1 coaching]
Premium / Long-Term
[e.g. VIP, ongoing partnership, group]
How to Introduce StoryBrand
The Guide Reframe
This is usually the breakthrough for people who hate self-promotion. Wait for the moment it lands — they'll often go quiet, or say "oh." That's it.
On the Offer Ladder
Don't build this for them. Ask: "What could someone do with you first — before they commit fully?" Then: "And if they loved it, what's next?" Let them construct it themselves through the conversation. The act of building it themselves makes it real.
The Psychological Level
This is the one that unlocks everything. When you name it accurately they often say "that's me." When that happens, say:
Unlocking Questions
- "External circumstances may vary — but is the internal struggle always the same?"
- "Think of just one person. Who would you most want to help?"
- "Where is she on the bridge right now — and where does she want to be?"
Phase Four
The Engine
Content Authority & Voice. Now you know the story, you know what to post. Everything that doesn't serve the plot has to go.
Your Three Content Pillars
Everything you post lives under one of these three pillars. If it doesn't fit, it's noise.
[Your expertise area — what you are known for]
[The transformation you create]
[Your perspective / grenade — what you challenge]
Post with purpose, not pressure.
Four post types. One rhythm. Repeat.
The Story
Vulnerability. Your client's journey. Emotion first.
The Speaker
Actionable authority. Tips. Your method in practice.
The Grenade
Contrarian view. Challenge the obvious. Make them think.
Social Proof
Client results. A real story. From stuck to transformation.
The Noise & Music Frame
The Grenade Philosophy
This is how you stand out without shouting. Challenge the quick fix. Challenge the conventional wisdom in their industry. Make the post that people want to argue with or share. Help them identify their grenade before the session ends.
Copywriting Principles (brief)
Don't speak at — speak to. One person, one idea. Hook in the first line. End with a question, not a statement. The full copywriting frameworks live in the Execution Guide.
Unlocking Questions
- "What's the one thing you believe that most people in your field would push back on?"
- "When you help a client — what's the thing you always say that makes them go quiet and think?"
- "Who are you writing this for? Name her."
Phase Five
The Climb
Strategic engagement. You don't scroll randomly — you show up with intention. Find your magnets, engage deliberately, and build the pipeline one conversation at a time.
Identify Your Magnets First
Before you engage anywhere — find the accounts that are already attracting your ideal client. These are your magnets. You show up there, not everywhere.
[List 3–5 accounts: experts, organisations, or voices your super-niche already follows]
[LinkedIn groups or organisations your super-niche gathers in]
9 minutes a day. Every day.
Don't lurk. Active engagement triggers the algorithm and builds the pipeline.
Comment
On posts at your magnet accounts. Add value, not noise.
Like / React
To content aligned with your super-niche's world.
Connect
With ideal clients engaging with content in your space.
DM
Curiosity approach. Those who liked your posts or connected with you.
Identify
Who is already in your world? Who should be?
Connect
With intention, not volume.
Converse
Curiosity over pitching. Understand them.
Convert
Invite to the next step on the offer ladder.
The Magnet Concept
This is what separates strategic engagement from random activity. Help them name 3–5 magnets in the session by searching LinkedIn together.
DM Approach
Curiosity, not pitch. Always reference something specific. "I noticed you liked my post about X — I'd love to hear your take on it." The goal is a warm conversation, not a sale. The offer ladder handles the rest.
On Convert
Remind them: convert isn't a hard sell. It's an invitation. The content created awareness. The conversation built trust. The conversion is just saying — "here's the logical next step if you're ready."

Phase Six
The Summit
Consistent visibility produces results. You know your results, you know what to do with them, and you keep moving. This is the long game — played well.
Not vanity metrics. Real momentum.
Conversations started
Real back-and-forth. Not just likes.
Leads identified & nurtured
People you can name in your pipeline.
Offers extended
Discovery calls. From conversation to client.
Authority recognised
Referrals. Tags. "I follow you because of..."
The Bridge
This playbook is your bridge between remaining the industry's best-kept secret to becoming best known for what you do best.
Move [CLIENT NAME] from hidden expert to visible authority — one session, one step at a time.
Setting Expectations
Close Every Session With
- What's confirmed since last time?
- What moved to In Progress?
- What are we discovering next session?
This keeps the map alive and gives the client the satisfying feeling of progress — even when results are still building.
Painting the Picture
Then come back to this in every subsequent session. Show them how far they've moved.
The Execution Guide
The playbook is the map. Remind them the Execution Guide is where the daily doing lives — post frameworks, copywriting cheat sheets, the tracker. Different tool, same destination.
